SUMMER COMMUNITY ECO PROJECT
Tue 06 Jul
|Locally
Use your unrecycled rubbish to create an endangered animal threatened with extinction. Display outside your home & send in photos to our gallery. Highlighting the threat of biodiversity loss, raise awareness of the amount of rubbish we generate & to consider ways to reduce our impact on our world.

Time & Location
06 Jul 2021, 10:00 – 21 Aug 2021, 10:00
Locally, Locks Heath, Park Gate, Southampton SO31 6LJ, UK
About the event
Be creative, have fun, make everyone aware of what we could do to help!...
Save your waste and recycling for a few days and see just how much you generate at home. How could you use this to make a collage or a sculpture (how big can it be?!) that you can display in a window or by a door or a gate? Can you ask a local shop if you could display something in their shop window?
Base your collage or sculture on an endangered animal - have a look at WWF for ideas. What facts can you find out and display also? (You might even want to sponsor an endangered animal for real through the WWF sponsor scheme - or ask for this for your next birthday or Christmas?!)
Send us photos of your creation to join our gallery and shout about it on public media #challengeplastic #wwf…
